Global
Harvest Church (GHC) actually began as a natural and progressive
outgrowth of the ministries sponsored by the Korean First
Baptist Church (KFBC) of Dallas. When New Song first began
its ministries over 25 years ago, the church focused primarily
on the first-generation Korean-speaking community and
immigrant families.
As the years went by, their English-speaking children
began to graduate from high school and college, but
there was no ministry reaching out to this population
segment. This group wanted to be part of their parent
church, but because of language and cultural differences,
it was difficult for the second-generation to associate
with their parents’ generation.
In response to this important need, New Song began
an English ministry that focused on the second-generation
living and working in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex
area. It began as an informal English ministry; but
by 1996, GHC was formally established with a full-time
pastor and staff.
In 2006 GHC and KFBC moved from its Dallas location on
Forest and Cromwell to the current Carrollton location
at Hebron and 121. KFBC changed its name to New Song
Church (NSC) at this point.
Today, we range from college students to families with
children. The GHC congregation predominately consists
of Korean-Americans, but the door is open to all nationalities
and ethnic groups. Even so, we come together as one
body and one family for the purpose of knowing the only
true GOD and fulfilling His great commission (Mat. 28).
